Pug Nation 2026 Calendar Contest

Welcome to Pug Nation's 12^TH Annual Photo and Calendar Contest! Will YOUR pug(s) make our calendar this year?

We Pug owners and fans all agree that our breed is irresistible; the only thing that makes Pugs even cuter is when we dress them up! So get creative, take a good picture and enter - It's easy and FREE! Just upload a picture of your Pug(s) (you can enter multiple Pugs of course). If you don't want to enter please join the fun by voting for your favorite...votes are only $1 each (5 vote minimum). Your donations will go towards our mission of saving "One Pug at a Time".

THE TOP 12 WINNERS will be incorporated into our exclusive and amazing Pug Nation 2026 Calendar which we will sell through our website! That's right, YOUR pug's picture will be featured in our 2026 Pug Nation Calendar and the Grand Prize winner not only will be featured on the COVER of the calendar, but also will have a feature story and large photo layout on the inside page. Winners also receive great prizes (see "prizes" section) and all proceeds from the sale of the calendar will be used to save more Pugs.

Very important! Don't forget to share your entry through email, Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites to encourage people to vote for YOUR Pug and help them win! It's only $1 per vote (minimum 5 votes) and it's an awful lot of fun.

Reserve a Day to Honor Your Pug

Just want a guaranteed spot in the calendar? Reserve a day to honor your pug. This can be for your pug's adoption anniversary, birthday, loved one's birthday, memorial or really any special day! Your pug's photo will appear on the day of your choice. Just choose your favorite photo and then choose the day and pay! First come first served! Once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available.

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded based on the number of total votes received per photograph.

The top twelve (12) recipients of votes will be awarded the following prizes:

FIRST PLACE-GRAND PRIZE:

Your Pug's pictures featured on the COVER of our Pug Nation 2026 Calendar, and his/her extended bio and additional pictures on the 2nd page AND a personalized pug silhouette (Value $250) will be placed on our Wall of Honor in our facility, the "Pubble"...you get to choose your color and personalized inscription.

SECOND PLACE - RUNNER UP:

Your pug's pictures and bio in the calendar on the month of your choosing AND a personalized pug silhouette (value $250) to be placed on our Wall of Honor in our new facility, the "Pubble"...you get to choose your color and personalized inscription.

THIRD PLACE:

Pug Nation Hoodie (or any other item from our store) and featured bio and pictures of your Pug in the calendar, you have second choice of month.

FOURTH THROUGH THIRTEENTH PLACE:

Pug Nation T-Shirt (many varied colors and additional styles available) or a Pug Nation Magnet, hat, bag or any other item from our store (hoodies excluded) plus pictures and bio in calendar, choices of month depends on how you finish; some sample prizes below.

Rules

The online Pug Nation Calendar Costume Contest is meant for fun, a way to share our beloved Pugs with each other and is a crucial fundraiser for Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles, a nonprofit 501(c)3 rescue organization.

There is no cost to submit a photo.
Please do not include humans in the photos.
There is no limit of entries per person however you may want to enter only one time to consolidate your votes.
Entrants who submit materials that are copyrighted by another individual are responsible for legal action taken against them by the copyright holder
You must be 18 or over to submit a picture
All photos become property of Pug Nation Rescue and may be used in our marketing materials whether on-line or printed
Once photos are submitted, they cannot be retracted
This contest is open to everyone!
Acceptable photos are .jpeg or .gif
Photos must not be edited or altered other than coloring, contrast, etc
Any content that is deemed inappropriate, indecent or obscene will be removed, including pictures depicting animals which appear to be sick, injured, under stress or in danger. No refunds for votes will be given.
We encourage entrants to vote for their own entries.
Pug Nation is not responsible for any technical problems or for late, lost, incomplete, stolen or misdirected entries.
No limit on voting.
Each dollar donated to a pet’s campaign represents one (1) vote.
The minimum donation to acquire votes is five dollars ($5), which equals five (5) votes. Votes may be applied to a single photograph or split up into single vote increments.
Votes left unused at the termination of the contest will be considered donations and will not be applied toward any single entry.
All donations to the photo contest are final and non-refundable.
Voting is only available online through this website.
All donations are tax-deductible by law.
An email address is required to make an online donation so a receipt with tax information can be sent to the donor.
In the case of a tie (exact number of votes received) we will go with the order of finish in the contests' system. We have no control over how the system decides who finishes higher in the standings. Thank you for your understanding.
