Toshi is a 4 year old pug mix adopted from PNRLA in 2022. Originally named "Toshiro" by a staff member after the Japanese actor Toshiro Mifune, his film-buff parents had a Seven Samurai poster in their home, so it seemed fated that Toshiro - shortened to Toshi - would choose them as his adopters! Toshi is a bit of a wild child with some quirks and anxieties, but is cuddly, playful, and hilarious when he feels safe. He's a smart cookie and extremely food motivated (he's staring up at a treat in the photo) - he can sit, stay, lay down, shake, and high-five for rewards! He loves helping his parents do laundry, sleeping in their laps under blankets, and rough and tumble tug-of-wars. He is not a fan of car rides and the vet, and occasionally tolerates fancy outfits. He gets along great with his brother, Flops the cat.
