Rules

Your photo may contain more than one pet, at least one of which must be a pug. Your pug does not need to have been adopted from PRONE to enter the contest. No people, please. Photos must be high resolution (300 dpi is preferred for printing purposes and at a size of 2740 pixels by 3650 pixels) and have a horizontal/landscape orientation. A submission must include the name(s) of the dog(s) and a and a brief description of the photo/pet. An entrant who submits a winning photo which is not of print quality will be given the opportunity to provide a suitable replacement photo.

Photos may be cropped by PRONE to appropriate dimensions for calendar design, but we will not crop a pet out of the photo.

Only one photo submission per entry fee is allowed. You may submit as many entries as you like, but they must be of different pets.

Contest participants are responsible for ensuring that they have the right to submit the photos being entered in the contest. By submitting to the contest, you (1) affirm that you are the photographer, or have been given unrestricted use permission by the photographer (2) grant PRONE unrestricted use permission to include your photo submission in any of PRONE's fundraising and/or outreach activities.

All photos must show dogs being handled in an appropriate manner and avoid polarizing situations. PRONE reserves the right to remove any photo which does not meet this requirement.

We cannot accept heavily edited photos, photos with stickers/graphics, or photos with writing. All photos should accurately reflect the subject matter and the scene as it appeared (no collages, please). Photos that have been significantly digitally altered will not be considered for the contest (no filtered or HDR images, please).

This online contest is the sole platform for photo submissions for consideration of inclusion in PRONE's calendar.

Each entry requires a non-refundable donation of $20 and includes 10 free votes. All other votes are $1. There is no limit on how many times people can vote. The voting proceeds are all tax-deductible donations to Pug Rescue of New England, Inc.

Each of the 12 top vote getters will be considered a Winner, will be the featured photo in one of the 12 monthly spots and receive up to 3 copies of the calendar, along with a prize specially selected by the calendar committee.  The top vote getter will also receive a $100 gift card.  The Cover Winner, which need not be a top vote getter, will be selected by the calendar committee based on design, composition and suitability for printing.  The Cover Winner will receive 5 copies of the calendar.  If the Cover Winner is also one of the top 12 vote getters, the 13th place vote getter will become a Winner.

Please spread the word about the contest to friends, family, neighbors, coworkers and anyone else you can think of and ask them to support your entry by voting for your dog's picture. When the contest begins, you will be able to link your entry in the voting gallery directly to your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, email accounts, and more. It's up to you to spread the word, encourage people to vote by making donations, and make sure your photo wins - all while supporting PRONE.
