A little about me...
Hi everyone! I'm Kena! I was rescued from Douglas County Canine Rescue in June 2022. I was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas where I was temporarily held at another high-kill shelter in New Mexico before coming to my foster home in December 2021 in Colorado Springs. My foster family had reported that I had a history of being unsure with strange men and took time to get used to new things.

Since coming to my forever home, my new family has been very supportive and helped me overcome a lot of my fears and anxiety with strangers. I am feeling safe and secure in my home, something that I have been missing for a long time. I carry around my stuffed animals and groom them and love the opportunity to meet new people now, especially if they have cookies!
