About Us

Douglas County Canine Rescue is a Colorado based 501c3 non- profit, no kill, PACFA licensed animal rescue.  Our mission is to rescue dogs from kill-shelters and then place them into foster homes. During their stay they will get spayed, neutered, micro-chipped and receive any additional medical care. They stay in foster homes until they get adopted into the forever loving homes that they need and deserve! Douglas County Canine Rescue does not have a facility. We rely solely on the kindness and generosity of animal lovers who open up their hearts and homes to help us take care of the animal orphans that desperately need our help. Together with our foster families we have saved over 9,000 animals. Please help us to continue this life saving work by supporting dogs in need.
