When Tesla was 9 months old in her previous home, she chewed an electrical cord. The electricity devastated her teeth, tongue, jaw and exited through her right eye. She came into rescue and we went through a year of complicated surgery and care. Seven years later, we are best friends, advocates for electrical safety, and fundraisers for Diamond Dachshund Rescue. Tesla LOVES to dress up and go places! She adores attention and meeting people and she has no idea she's different. She eats regular food, though she takes a bit longer to eat and drink and is DEFINITELY messier! Tesla is the ruler of the house and you can tell that she's used to being the Queen... she thinks of herself as a Pirate, a Queen, and sometimes a Junkyard dog! Find her on Facebook!
