This is Thai, a big, beautiful Siamese carrying the double whammy of Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). Thai most likely would not be here today were it not for the volunteer who brought him to Caring for Creatures and the great care he receives there at his lifetime home. You can tell from his demeanor in the photo that he is totally oblivious to the things he carries. When I go to Caring for Creatures to hang out with some of the cats for a couple hours, Thai always ambles over to my lap and nestles himself in like this. Settling onto the floor in broken in jeans with this courtly gentleman on my lap is the most therapeutic half-hour of my week, and I would like to think it is pretty good for him, too.
