Snow Monkeys from Japan live further north than any other non-human primate. This Macaque at the Great Plains Zoo in Sioux Falls, SD is able to enjoy a beautiful winter day thanks to his thick coat. One of my favorite things to do in the winter here in SD, is to visit the animals that can withstand this winter at the zoos nearby. It is amazing to see their adaptations to thrive in such a cold climate.
