Santa Maria Valley Humane Society, Santa Maria Times and Presqu'ile Winery have joined forces to celebrate dogs and cats and the people who love them with the third Spokesdog and Spokescat contest! One winning dog and one winning cat will have their image appear on the new release of the 2019 Presqu'ile Rescue Wine Collection this Fall!

Nominations are open from July 15th to August 14th. Submit a photo of your pet and tell us why your dog or cat is the perfect Spokesdog or Spokescat for rescued pets everywhere! Voting for your favorites is from August 15th to September 14th and each vote cast is a $1 donation to the Santa Maria Valley Humane Society. The three dogs and three cats with the most votes will each receive a $100 gift certificate for pet products and services at the Santa Maria Valley Humane Society. One grand prize winning dog and one grand prize winning cat will be selected by our judges to appear on the labels of the 2019 Presqu'ile Rescue Wine Collection Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, respectively.

The submitted image of every dog and every cat will be published in the Santa Maria Times in a special section insert saluting Our Best Friends on October 5th in conjunction with the Presqu'ile Politics of Dancing concert benefitting the Santa Maria Valley Humane Society.
