• Contest begins at 6:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Friday, May 15, 2026, and ends at 9:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.

• No Entry Fees!!!! Submit your photos for FREE!!!  Entries must be submitted via our contest URL. We cannot accept prints and can not do this for you.

• Photo entries are limited to dogs and cats only and do not have to be adopted from Riverside Rescue.  We are limiting entry to local pets, but if you adopted the pet from Riverside Rescue and live far away. You can still enter.   Please reach out if you have any questions.

• There are no limits to how many photos you enter of the pet. Only one photo of your pet can be in the top 13!  Participants' registration information will remain confidential. Submit a photo of your pet(s). Include your pets' name(s), your name and address (address will not be displayed, only city and State), and an introduction sharing why your entry should be the next Whiskers & Woofs Calendar Photo Winner! Please limit the intro to 300 characters or fewer.  Tell voters how special your pet is so they vote even more for you!

• “Reserve a spot” to feature the pet on a date block.  This could be a birthday, a “got ya date,” or even a random day.    This day will have your pet's photo on it with a Pets Name/ Title.  You can do as many “spots” as you wish for $10 each!

• Everyone is eligible to vote. There is no limit to the number of votes you can cast or the number of dogs that you can vote for. Here's how it works. Each vote costs $1.00 in the form of a donation. The minimal donation amount is $5.00 (which allows you to cast 5 votes). Your donation is instantly converted into a vote bank. Then you can cast your votes on your favorite(s).

• When you purchase your "votes," you are actually making a donation to Riverside Rescue. Being a 501c3 non-profit organization, any votes purchased are actually a tax-deductible donation. When you complete your transaction to purchase votes, you will receive a confirmation email. This will serve as your tax-deductible receipt. Contest donations are processed by a secure (SSL, PCI-Compliant) payment processor. All major credit cards and Visa and MasterCard debit cards are accepted.

• Please share the contest with all your family & friends! If you are entering a photo, you will have access to a share link that you can email or share on social media. To really make your pet a Calendar Winner, you need to promote, promote, promote! Share links are automatically created when you enter your photo, so social media networking is easy. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. - there's no limit! The more you share, the better you fare!

• All submissions must be of good digital quality to retain detail when enlarged. Entry photo must be animal only – no people. Multiple pets can appear in the picture.

• If your submission is of poor quality, it will not be eligible for the Cover. It could still win one of the other spots – as one of the larger photos appearing in our January – December pages.

• Any photo submission that does not comply with the above rules will be disqualified and removed by Riverside Rescue.

• All winners will be determined by electronic vote tabulations under the supervision of Gogo Photo Contest, whose decisions are final and binding.  In voting ties – All winter will be included but may share a month.

• NOTE: Entries that do not place in the top 13 will still have their photo included in the final marketing on the website.

• All entries and photographs become the property of Riverside Rescue for any and all purposes without compensation. By submitting a photo entry, you warrant and represent that your entry is your own original work, not AI-generated by you, and that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to your entry materials. If you submit an entry that is copyrighted by another individual, you are responsible for any legal action the copyright holder takes against you.

• By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Riverside Rescue, any contest Sponsors and each of their respective officers, directors, representatives, volunteers and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any prize.

• The Contest is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.

Riverside Rescue was established in 2003 to assist local pets that are abandoned, neglected, or unhoused in our local and surrounding areas.  In 2005, we received our 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, which enabled us to accept donations and expand our efforts to help even more animals. Over the past 25 years, we have helped thousands of pets with finding homes, receiving necessary veterinary care, and obtaining some necessary training.

In 2025, Riverside Rescue was able to purchase the facility where we had been leasing space in, allowing us to enhance our ability to assist even more pets.

Looking ahead to 2026, Riverside Rescue is excited to announce that we are expanding once again by adding a Wellness Clinic. This new addition will provide the local community with a low-cost veterinary clinic to address basic care needs such as vaccinations, allergy visits, flea and tick treatments, and spay/neuter services.

The Wellness Clinic will also enable us to provide quicker care for our shelter pets, ensuring they are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and tested before adoption, which will help reduce their time spent in the shelter.

We are projecting to have this open mid to late 2027!
