It's that time of year again! Welcome to our 2025 Rockbridge Animal Alliance Photo Fundraiser! Each year Rockbridge Animal Alliance's photo fundraiser and pet calendar raises funds for local at-risk pets supporting our pet food pantry, spay & neuter program, and financial assistance for veterinary care and so much more! This year you can enter any pet you want!
- Enter the contest! Click the button to submit your favorite picture of your pet(s) for the opportunity to be named Rockbridge's Animal of 2025, the coveted front cover and a free calendar! Each entry is $25.
- Vote for your favorite pets! Each vote = $5 and the proceeds fund the Rockbridge Animal Alliance's critical work to help pets and families to stay together in our community.
Through your support and participation in events like our annual photo calendar contest, we can continue to go above and beyond for pets - and the people who love them - across the community, providing food, guidance, medical support and peace of mind. Help us keep pets and families together.
Here are some guidelines.
- You can include multiple pets in one photo
- We beg you to please make sure your photos are of high enough quality to reproduce well. The better the resolution, the nicer the photograph will reproduce on the calendar.
- The more you communicate your participation in the contest (i.e. at work, with friends, via Social media), the better chances you have to win one of the top spots, and the more our pets benefit. Votes are $5 per vote.
- Calendars make excellent holiday gifts! People love seeing pets in their loving homes.
- No people in the photos – we prefer to protect the privacy of our humans.
- In case of a tie, we will make sure the winners are included.
- This is a fun and exciting way to show how much you love your pet.
- It's not over until it is over…the battle for the top calendar spots is not over until the very last minute… thus the ties!
People can vote as often as they like and votes will be displayed on the contest web page as they come in. Remember - vote early, vote often, and encourage friends and families to vote.

First prizes (12)
Four (4) cats with the most votes, four (4) dogs with the most votes, and four (4) other pets will have their photo featured for one month in the calendar AND receive one free calendar.
Consolation prizes (all others)
Smaller photos featured on the back of the calendar depend on the number of entries.
- Photo entries must be no smaller than 2531 pixels x 1968 pixels, in RGB, .jpg or .eps format. Photos must be high resolution for printing purposes. If you are taking photos with your phone, please be sure to capture your image at the highest possible setting in order to meet resolution criteria. We will be unable to print your pet in the calendar if the photo submitted is not in focus or high resolution.
- People are NOT allowed in photos, only photos of cats, dogs, and other pets.
- Multiple animals are allowed in one photo.
- All photo submissions must be digital. We cannot accept photos with digital overlays, photo stickers, doodles or any digital effects. Copyrighted photos may only be included with the written permission of the copyright-holder.
- Once entered, photo submissions become the property of Rockbridge Animal Alliance to be used at its discretion.
- Rockbridge Animal Alliance reserves the right to decline publication of any photograph for any reason. Should this happen, we will notify you. Rockbridge Animal Alliance has final approval on all photos submitted and reserves the right to replace an animal's photograph to overcome production issues.
- Animals must be entered in the correct contest "category". Rockbridge Animal Alliance will change the category of any entry that is entered incorrectly.
- The submission and voting periods begin at 8:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Thursday, August 1, 2024 and end at 8:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, September 15, 2024.
- Winners will be announced on Facebook and Instagram on 09/16/2024.
- Entry fees are $25 per photo.
Voting
Each vote costs $5, and there is no limit to the number of votes one may cast for the duration of the contest. You may vote for your own photo. Online voting begins as soon as the photo is registered and ends at 8:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, September 15, 2024. To make sure a vote is credited to the correct photo, voters must identify the pet and owner's name.
