About RRUFF

RRUFF is a small nonprofit based in Rocklin, CA.  We are 100% volunteer developed and staffed. Our original mission was to build the first off-leash dog park.  The park opened December 23, 2011; and is the premier off-leash dog park in the Greater Sacramento Region. In 2014, the Healing Heroes program was added. This program funds service dog training for Disabled American Veterans and First Responders with Post Traumatic Stress and other invisible disabilities.  Since 2014, our mission has expanded and is now focused on serving the disabled veteran/first responder community and their canine companions.   17 Veterans die by suicide every day, and more first responders die by suicide than on the job.  We exist for the sole purpose of being a catalyst for hope and change.  We do this: 1 Hero & 1 Dog at a Time. We are a non-salaried 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity registered with the Internal Revenue Service and the California Attorney General Registry of Charitable Trusts.
