Creative Aging Network-NC (CAN-NC) has become known for its ability to collaborate with for profits and non-profits alike to enhance community interaction with older adults through the creative arts. The role of CAN-NC is to complement, enhance, and initiate creative programming in existing aging service organizations through professionally trained teaching artists. We provide training and consultation services to healthcare and arts organizations. We also educate them and the general public on the creative potential of older adults and the positive health outcomes resulting from active engagement.

Our teaching artists offer a variety of visual, literary, and performance art programs for older people of all ability levels. We foster the creative potential of each individual, promoting the person-centered care approach, and we emphasize the positive health outcomes resulting from active creative engagement. We are dedicated to promoting a better aging experience for present and future generations.
