This project aims to highlight the creativity of older people and help change the way our society views aging. No longer should we think of older people as simply sitting on the porch in rocking chairs. More than ever, today's older population is vibrant, active, and engaged in their communities. People are celebrating this across the state and up the East coast by making a standard rocking chair into an amazing work of art to compete for the "People's Choice Award". The winning team will receive a catered brunch and chair massages. To vote, simply make a monetary donation for your favorite chair.

All proceeds will support the mission Creative Aging Network-NC: We enhance the well-being of older people in North Carolina through creative arts programming, education and training.
