About Us
The Russell County (KY) Animal Welfare League is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has been serving the animals of Russell and surrounding counties for more than two decades. The League opened a seasonal, mobile, low-cost spay/neuter clinic in March 2023. Since then, we've fixed and vaccinated nearly 1,000 animals. With our new, permanent, indoor clinic, we can operate year-round and help more animals. But, we need to raise $10,000 to pay for the surgery center. That’s where Operation PAWSitive Change comes in: helping us go FROM WHEELS TO WALLS! The Russell County Animal Welfare League Photo Contest and 2026 Animal Welfare League Calendar is part of Operation PAWSitive Change.
