Seattle Area Feline Rescue 2025 Harvest Photo Contest

Celebrate the season with SAFe Rescue’s Harvest Pet Photo Contest! 🍂🐾 Snap a picture of your furry friend enjoying all things autumn—pumpkins, leaves, cozy vibes, and more. Share your cutest harvest moments for a chance to win fun prizes and spread some fall cheer!

Submit a photo* of your beloved animal companion, and the top vote-getter** will receive exciting perks, including a custom pumpkin featuring your pets harvest photo, a harvest basket filled with human and kitty treats, and a post on SAFe’s social media showcasing the top three winners of the contest and other a-meow-zing prizes, please see the prize section for full prize details!
The second and third-place photos will receive buttons of their pets harvest photos along with a collective post on SAFe’s instagram of the top three winners and other a-meow-zing prizes. Please see the prize section for full details.
P.S. Feline competitive? The best way to boost your kitty’s chances is to share your entry with friends and family!
*$20 fee for every photo submission- which goes to care for the kitties at SAFe Rescue!
**Votes are $1 each (minimum $5 required). This means each entry starts with five votes, but you’re welcome to purchase additional votes to support your kitty, or other cats in the contest!
The contest will run from October 7th through October 30th, the winners will be announced on October 31st!

A harvest gift basket filled with fall fun for cats and humans including cat treats, cat toys, a handmade cat blanket, human candy, $20 storyville coffee giftcards, and $50 to Sky Nursery!

Rules

How to Participate:

Enter the contest by uploading a photo of your pet with a $20 entry fee.
Vote for your favorite cat(s)! $1 = 1 vote (a minimum of 5 votes [$5] is required)
Only submissions and votes made through this website will be accepted.
Vote as many times as you’d like—every entry and vote makes a difference for cats in need!
Contest closes at 12:59:59 AM (Pacific Time) on Sunday, November 2, 2025.

Eligible Photos:

All pets are welcome! Cats, dogs, lizards, or any pet is welcome to have their photo entered!
Only photos of pets are allowed.
Pets do not need to be SAFe Alumni (but feel free to share if they are in the bio!)
One pet per entry (each pet requires a separate photo and entry.)
Make sure you own the photo or have the owner’s permission to share it.

Keep your photo and caption appropriate for everyone to enjoy.
Clear, front-facing photos are preferred.
By sharing your photo, you grant SAFe Rescue publication rights for the photo and caption.

Cats and costumes

Please only put your cat in costumes if they do not mind being dressed. Watch for these signs that your cat is unhappy with the costume:

Diﬃculty moving: Freezing, struggling to walk normally, or being unable to move at all.
Anxiety: Panting, ﬂattened ears, tucked tail, tense muzzle, wide-eyed with dilated pupils.
Physical distress: Repeatedly trying to remove the costume or showing signs of a heavy, confusing, or cumbersome outﬁt.
Aggression: Becoming irritable or aggressive towards you or others.

Alternatives to Costumes

Festive accessories: A bandana or festive collar that doesn't interfere with the cat's body.
Photo editing: Create a cute outﬁt image using a photo editor or AI
Make the setting festive: Instead of a costume, consider putting your pet in a photo with pumpkins or other fall-themed items.
