Your Pet's Story or Bio
Sassy and Spicey were adopted from the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter in January of this year. They are sisters who were brought in together at about three months old, and we are sisters who are nominating them. One of us and our mom are volunteers at the shelter. After a Saturday volunteer shift, our dad and the other one of us came to meet up and look at cats. Our mom was arranging for a show with another cat when we saw that two kittens were just brought into the big room. They weren't even on the website yet! It was love at first sight. Sassy had some complications with her spaying so we had to wait a few extra days and didn't want to separate them so they stayed together. We still call them kittens but they're nine months old and very playful. They love boxes, laundry baskets and sitting in window sills as well as chasing each other up and down the stairs. They also love each other, and we love them so much as they have brought us a lot of happiness and fun.
