Your Pet's Story or Bio
Izzie is an 11 month old Border Collie mix. He LOVES bike rides, long hikes, swimming, eating treats, chasing his 8 year old human brother, sniffing his cat brother's rear end and more than anything, the 3 human members of his family.

Born to a 9 pup litter, he cannot sleep at night unless he has his head over someone's leg, dog pile style. In the shelter that rescued him, his litter was named after the 9 planets- and he was the slightly unfortunate recipient of the name Uranus, until his new family decided he needed a more suitable name. He traveled all the way to San Jose from the Central Valley where he was born, and then was taken home to Santa Cruz, where his water loving ways are perfect for the ocean.

Izzie loves belly rubs and chew toys. He has been caught multiple times with wool fuzz hanging from his mouth, but insists he has no idea what happened to mom's wool dryer balls, except that maybe, the cat took them.

Izzie aspires to be an agility dog someday, as he is faster than a jack rabbit and leaps gleefully straight up in the air as he walks down the street for the first two blocks of his daily walk, often prompting amused smiles from folks walking or driving nearby. He is a loyal protector and an all out star of a pup.
