Nate the Great is a senior hound/chow chow/lab mix who was originally found tied to a tree in Tennessee. He was treated for Heartworm and then adopted by Foster & Volunteer Coordinator Jill and her fiance Brian. He has been in the family for about 8 years and has blossomed from a fearful dog to everybody's best friend. Nate has never met a stranger and will often nudge people for pets with is nose. He loves hiking in the redwoods, doing zoomies on the beach, and fish flavored treats. Nate has prostate cancer and was diagnosed about a year ago. He was estimated to only have 6-10 months but has outlived his time frame and is thriving. This boy has been heartworm +, lyme +, has had chronic ear infections/masses, and prostate cancer but approaches every day excited for a new adventure. Nate is the epitome of resilience and unconditional love. Vote for Nate!
