Your Pet's Story or Bio
Dixie was dumped on Central Ave. in King City,CA. We found her around Christmas when we were looking for our dog who took off after a coyote on the cattle ranch during a king tide.

She has a bum front leg that was broken and never set so it did not heal properly and bad breath.

She chased our tall truck down this dirt road for over a mile. When we stopped and rolled the window down to yell for her to “go home” she jumped up through the window and landed in my daughters lap.

I could say “end of story, “ but it is not.

On Christmas we found a vet that was open and took her to have her scanned. She was chipped in Watsonville and her name was Lola (the name of my daughters new pup). We tracked down owners who did not want her because they “have goats.”

She has since been kicked by the horse in the face and had a few run-ins with the alpha female. Her breath is awful.

She has so much strength and power in her hind end that you don’t really notice her bad leg flopping like a helicopter blade when she runs. She runs fast, but not for long distances.

She is the happiest dog ever. If you have to reprimand her because she has opened the cupboard and shared all the treats with all the dogs, she just wags her no tail.

Most importantly, we love her.
