Your Pet's Story or Bio
Schmoo is a rescued coconut island mutt from St. Thomas, USVI. We were living on island at the time and she survived 2 CAT5 hurricanes alone. We found her at the Humane Society a couple weeks after Maria as we used to spend our days there because they needed help and it was one of the only structures not completely devastated by the hurricanes and they had a generator to charge our flashlights. We decided to foster her on island and when we decided to move back to the mainland we adopted her and brought her with.

She is small and mighty and can outrun a German Shepard. She has what we call a turbo gear and literally can shoot forward 6 feet when in a full run. She can also do a 180 in midair much to the dismay of the other dog who is chasing her.

She loves the beach. She hates the ocean. She loves fireworks and driving fast. She likes skateboarding and the balance board. She loves jumping over things. She has no concept of her size. Her best friends are a European Great Dane and my daughter

She hates the wind; 15 mph and she is under the covers.

She is exceptionally patient (please see photo of the dog styled and taken by the 9yr old).

Her nickname is “crocodile” because she audibly snaps her jaws repeatedly when you pretend to eat her like a tortilla chip. As I mentioned, she is patient.

Schmoo is an approximately 3 yr old, spayed female.
