A little about me...
This is our rescue Girlie and this is our story. . About 1 year after we put our 17 year old Jack Russel down my daughters started yearning for another dog. We started following Coco's lighthouse on Facebook which is where they saw 8 year old Girlie for the first time. They instantly fell in love with her. When they found out she was coming to Sarnia and would be part of an adopt a thon they were ecstatic. Unfortunetly their dad had such a hard time dealing with the loss of our first furbaby that he was not ready to open his heart to another dog. It caused a lot of arguments within our household. The day of the adopt a thon we agreed to take the girls down to meet Girlie since by then they had been following her for nearly 2 months. She was the sweetest little thing and within minutes of her meeting our family my husband changed his mind and we took her home. We can say we "rescued" her , but the truth is she has filled a hole in our hearts and has brought our family closer together. The truth is she rescued us❤
