Tell us your pet’s story and what makes them ideal to be the Cover Model for the “Pin Up Pups” Calendar Contest
Hi, i’m Bonnie Blue and this is my story. My brother and I came to SASS in the summer of 2023, as 2 of the 6 abandoned German Sheppard pups found on a dirt road in a cage. Sounds like a county song!
On June 30, 2023 a door opened to what changed our lives forever. It was my time to shine! In walked a kind hearted woman that I decided she would be my mother. I wiggled my cute fanny, got into her lap, telling her “ I think I am in love, let’s get out of here” I said we could bring big Behr along too.
It is ironic how things work out, our new parents had just lost their 2 15 y/o GSPs and Behr and I decided to adopt our parents for they would lost without us!

What is your pet’s favorite thing to do?
Morning wrestling, traveling to mountains of NC. Training with Dad (really play time). Blue Bell Ice cream cones. Eating dinner with my 91 year old uncle in NC. Boating on lake Marion. Playing on dirt hills, Swimming, Getting a bubble bath from Mom. Chasing squirrels. Pretend hunting in the fields around our house to impress our dad. Riding through Elloree and Santee in our old Jeep.
