A little about me...
At 6 months old, Cooper, a golden doodle, was a mere 37 lbs. filthy, matted, starved, unsocialized, and scared to death of everything except other dogs. He wouldn’t come inside without his pack coaxing him in and all humans staying away. He wasn’t treat or food motivated despite being malnourished. He didn’t play with toys or with my dogs although they provided him with comfort. He was scared of being on leash and wouldn’t walk unless carried. He would stay put wherever we put him in the house for hours. However he was fully potty-trained.
Within a couple weeks we had him walking on a leash hesitantly and now he walks beautifully on a leash. He’s learned that the bed has edges and doesn’t fall off anymore. He plays like a puppy should play with humans and his pack. He greets humans gently. He wakes us up bright and early ready to go every morning! He’s not comfortable with blow dryers so grooming can be a long process but I’m hopeful that will come in time. He is now at his ideal weight and stands as tall as his big brother Mocha. Recently he learned it’s ok to walk across a wooden bridge and to calmly watch the automatic vacuum robot. He’s just overcome so many fears and so he affectionately gained the name Super Duper Crazy Cooper. It warms my heart to see him so goofy and happy. (Pictured with his 2 sisters and brother. )
