Rules

Entries are limited to Bulldogs, also known as English Bulldogs or British Bulldogs. Bulldogs may be exhibitor dogs, rescue dogs, family pets, or a combination of any of the aforementioned. Submissions must include at least one bulldog but may include other bulldogs, too. No American Kennel Club (AKC) or breed standard requirement, although, as stated, only purebred Bulldogs are eligible. No age limits. No humans allowed in photos. Commercially reproduced photographs from professionals will not be accepted without proper releases.


Each entrant must pay a minimum $25 entry fee per photo submission, which includes a free copy of the 2021 calendar.  If you donate for 5 or more votes in the entry process, you will receive 5  votes on your entry.  

Photos may include more than one bulldog. The resolution of the image may limit its ability to be used in the calendar.

Submissions will be accepted on-line only from August 1st, 2020 to August 31, 2020.  Voting by the public during the submission period and until August 31, 2020, for $1 per vote (minimum $5 in votes).

Voters are prompted to make a donation (minimum $5 in votes) at the time of pledging.  Entries will receive one vote for every $1 donated during the live voting process. After you submit your entry, you have the opportunity to ask your friends and family members to donate-to-vote by sending them the URL for your entry or using the "Tell-A-Friend" form when you log in to your account on the Contest website. Keep in mind that you cannot combine votes from separate photos/entries.

Proceeds from the collected votes and calendar entries go to Southern California Bulldog Rescue for the care and maintenance of rescued bulldogs.

If you make a single  or combined total of $25 donation in votes or other reasons, you will have the ‘25 votes' needed to earn ‘ONE FREE' copy of the completed ‘No Bulldog Left Behind" calendar*. Delivery of the free calendar earned is included.

Examples:

• $25 will get 25 in votes and one calendar.
• $50 will get 50 in votes and two calendars.
• $ 75 will get 75 in votes and three calendars.

This formula will continue on counts of 25. Delivery is included in these transactions for each level of 25.  

What happens in cases where the single transaction is not 25 or over,  however the sum total of a same donor who's total votes are equal to 25 or more? 

We will make every effort to contact the donor to confirm interest in receiving a copy of the calendar.  This will be determined by email addresses of submission. 

How will we handle calendar deliveries for large donors? 

We will be contacted donors in advance of sending calendars to confirm quantities of calendars to be sent.   In the past there has been confusion with some supporters receiving many more calendars than wanted.

What happens if I donate and votes many times though out the contest.  Do I get calendars for all those transactions? 

We will add up your votes by email address and contact you in advance to confirm how many calendars you may be receiving.   In the past, there has been confusion with some supporters receiving more calendars than needed. 

Do donors have to use votes all at once? 

Donors do not have to use all votes at the time of donation. Upon donation, donors will be given the option of applying all of the votes to one image or storing the votes in an account. If voters choose to store vote credits, they can be accessed and votes with a User ID and password at any time during the contest pledging period.

All proceeds from the event will benefit bulldogs in various bulldog rescue programs, including, but not limited to Southern California Bulldog Rescue and supported bulldog rescue programs.


Donations made through the "No Bulldog Left Behind" Bulldog Calendar Contest and Online donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.  Contact us for more information if a receipt is requested.


Bulldogs with the most collected votes for charity will be determined the winner  for a month in the calendar to include 12 Bulldogs for the calendar year, cover, and select premium holidays of the calendar year.

The bulldog with the most collected votes will be given the option of the cover of the calendar or month of their choice in the calendar. 

Photos may only include Bulldogs – no people or other dog breeds – to be eligible entries. Each photo entry may only be submitted once and must be submitted by the owner of the Bulldog. Contest opportunity is exclusive to Bulldogs. All photos must be non-explicit in nature. Failure to abide by these rules and the contest waiver will automatically disqualify the entry. Submitted photos will become the intellectual property of the No Bulldog Left Behind Bulldog Calendar and its sponsors.

In the event winning photo submission does not meet reproduction requirements, those winners will be allowed to resubmit an acceptable photo of the same dog in 14 days after notification.

Special consideration will be given to mood studies, beautiful portraits, action shots, unusual snapshots, and photos that capture the tone of specific holidays.

Winners only will be notified by electronic or postal mail no later than October 1, 2020

• Third Place: $25.00 Amazon Gift Card

• Only digital submissions will be accepted.
• Images must be horizontal (landscape) format
• May include one or more pets, one must be a bulldog.
• Any image that includes people, or content that is deemed inappropriate, indecent or obscene, as determined by the staff, will be removed from the Photo Fundraiser.
• Subject to the approval of the calendar printer for use as calendar art submission.
• A replacement photo may be requested in the event winning photo does not meet reproduction requirements and must be submitted in 14 days of the request by calendar designers.
