Welcome to the San Diego House Rabbit Society's 2027 Calendar Photo Contest & Fundraiser!
Our annual calendar contest is one of our most important fundraisers of the year. Every photo entry and vote helps support the San Diego House Rabbit Society's lifesaving programs, including rabbit rescue, sheltering, adoptions, veterinary care, spay/neuter assistance, rehabilitation, education, and community outreach.
All Pets Welcome!
Photos do not have to feature rabbits. We welcome photos of all beloved companion animals, including rabbits, dogs, cats, guinea pigs, birds, reptiles, and other pets. This contest celebrates the entire pet-loving community while raising funds to help rabbits in need.
How to Participate
- Submit your favorite photo of your pet.
- Share your pet's fundraising page with family and friends.
- Encourage supporters to vote for your photo.
- Compete for prizes and a chance to be featured in our 2027 calendar!

Calendar Selection & New Contest Rules
Monthly Calendar Winners
- The 12 photos with the highest vote totals at the close of the contest will each receive a featured month spread in the 2027 calendar.
- The Top 3 vote-getters overall will receive Grand Prize, Second Place, and Third Place awards, continuing our traditional prize structure.
Every Entry Will Be Featured
We are excited to continue a special feature that recognizes every participant.
- Every eligible photo entry that does not place in the Top 12 will still be included in the calendar as part of a dedicated photo collage/gallery section.
- This ensures that every pet entered and every $10 entry fee is honored and represented in the finished calendar.
- Every $1 donation counts as one vote!
Photo Requirements
For the best chance of being selected for a monthly feature:
- Submit high-resolution images (300 dpi or greater).
- Landscape (horizontal) photos work best for calendar layouts.
- Photos should be clear, well-lit, and in focus.
- Only submit photos you own or have permission to use.
Eligibility
- Contest is open to all companion animals—not just rabbits.
- Multiple photo entries are welcome.
- All submitted photos must comply with contest guidelines and be appropriate for publication.

Our Mission is to rescue abandoned domestic rabbits within our community and find them new homes, support our local shelters in the care of their rabbits, and educate the community on the proper and responsible care of domestic rabbit companions.
