The contest opens on MARCH 30, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. PST. The contest closes on APRIL 28, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. PST. All fundraising must take place within these dates.
Donations made in support of an image are valued at one (1) vote for every $1.00 donated.
Participants can enter or donate from anywhere in the United States.
Entries must be print quality photos* to be printed for display inside park visitor center.
If appropriate print quality photo file is not provided by the deadline Sequoia Parks Conservancy will not be able to print and display image.
By submitting a photo, you will also acknowledge and give permission to Sequoia Parks Conservancy to use the photographers name, story and photo entered in promotions and materials, including our website and social media to advertise the “My Park. My Story.” photo contest. After the contest ends all rights to the entered photographs will remain with the photographer. At the conclusion of the contest Sequoia Parks Conservancy will have no rights to the photographs unless photographer wishes to grant them access by emailing socialmedia@sequoiaparks.org and filling out the photo release form.
Winning photos will require a photo release form from the photographer granting permission to Sequoia Parks Conservancy and our partners to use photographers name, story, and entered photograph to use in promotions, marketing materials, website, social media and print. The photographs will be printed and on display with the photographers information. We will always credit the photographer for their work.
We reserve the right to ask for a new picture submission for any reason. Please see full image requirements for winners.
Sequoia Parks Conservancy reserves the right to disqualify an entry based on objectionable content or depiction landscape, wildlife, or persons in a photo. Donations collected will be refunded if requested by the donors.
All images must have been taken inside either Sequoia National Park or Kings Canyon National Park and be properly labeled with park and approximate location within the park. Images must have been taken while adhering to all park rules and regulations.
There is no drone photography allowed within our national parks.
Contest is open to both professional and amateur photographers.
