The 12 top vote recipients at the conclusion of the contest will be considered the winners. The Grand Prize winner (top vote-getter
overall in the contest) will receive a $100 gift card, a gift basket and choice of month their pet is featured on the Sequoyah County Times 2025 Pet Calendar. The remaining 11 winners will receive a pet gift and their pet will be featured on a randomly selected month in the Sequoyah County Times 2025 Pet Calendar.
We will have space for "honorable mentions" to ensure all entered pets are included in the Sequoyah County Times Pet Calendar.
All entered pet photos will be included in the pet calendar even if they are not a grand prize/top 12 winner. Reserve a Day to Honor Your Pet
Just want a guaranteed spot in the calendar? Reserve a day to honor your pet. This can be for your pet's adoption anniversary, birthday, loved one's birthday, memorial or really any special day! Your pet's photo will appear on the day of your choice. Just choose your favorite photo and then choose the day and pay! First come first served! Once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available.

Sequoyah County Times Pet Calendar Contest Rules
- Contest entry and dates: 10:00:00 AM (Central Time) on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 – 10:00:00 PM (Central Time) on Monday, November 25, 2024
- Entry and Donation Fees are; $15 per photo entry, $5 to reserve a special day on the Sequoyah County Times Pet Calendar, and $1 for each vote.
- Calendar preorders may be reserved at time of entry or any time during the contest with a prepayment of $10.
- Photos of cats, dogs, horses, small mammals, reptiles, and birds are accepted.
- People are not allowed in your photo, only pets.
- Your photo may only contain one pet.
- Each pet can only be entered once however, you can enter more than one pet in the contest. Each pet will be a separate independent entry receiving individual votes.
- Photos must be high resolution for printing purposes. (If your pet is one of the top 12 and your original submitted photo is not high enough resolution to be reproduced in the Sequoyah County Times Pet Calendar, you will be contacted and asked to submit a new photo.)
- We cannot accept Polaroids, heavily edited photos, photos with stickers or doodles or any copyrighted or professional photos.
- Once entered, photos become the property of the Sequoyah County Times to be used for print and marketing purposes.
- All entries must be submitted before 10:00:00 PM (Central Time) on Monday, November 25, 2024.
How to Enter
- Online entry- Visit the website and follow the directions provided to complete the entry information, and submit your $15 entry fee. gogophotocontest.com/Sequoyahcountytimes
- In person- Visit our office at 111 N. Oak Street in Sallisaw, submit your information, photo and entry fee.
Voting
- Each $1 donation counts as 1 vote. We encourage you to share your contest page link with family and friends through email and social media encouraging them to vote for your favorite contestant's photo.
- All donations for votes are non-refundable. Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page or at the Sequoyah County Times office at 111 N. Oak Street in Sallisaw. Contest payments online are through a secure site.
Judging
- The top 12 contestants by number of votes will be the winners at the end of the voting period.

Winner Notification
- The winners will be notified by email or phone. Potential winners must continue to comply with all terms and conditions of the Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, we will award the applicable prize to an alternate winner among remaining eligible entries. Prizes and donations will be fulfilled within 2 weeks after the conclusion of the contest.

We have created this Pet Calendar Contest to provide needed funding for the Sallisaw Animal Care Facility, Sequoyah County Animal Advocates, Barking for a Cause Animal Rescue and Ahimsa Rescue Foundation.
