Meet Atlas!!
A little history behind Atlas:
3 years ago Atlas found himself behind bars at the Downey CA shelter for a crime he did not commit. The only crime was his people abandoned him. Atlas was put on death row. Atlas was bailed out of jail by Tim McVicker before the humans could carry out his sentence. Atlas then went on to a foster home for about 1 year. He was adopted for 2 years, but unfortunately had to be surrendered back to the rescue.
Hi!! My name is Christina. I had big dreams of becoming a foster parent with Shadow Husky Rescue.
In my head: I will foster one husky at a time, bring them into dog bakery with me everyday. Get lots of attention and sight for the foster dog, find FUREVER home, get next husky, rinse and repeat……
Reality: I fell in love and became a foster fail!!!
Moment I fell in love: Tim McVicker came to get Atlas for a vet appointment, Atlas made it to the door, looked back at me sadly, my heart melted, tears hit my eyes and he walked on with Tim. Even though I knew he was coming right back, I knew I could not let him go!
He is now my sidekick!
Atlas goes everywhere with me! In the mornings I tell him, “let’s go to work!” He runs to the door to go. Atlas has become well known at the bakery with our community!
