Comfort & Joy Story
Snowy came to my life at the age of 9 weeks as my husband’s dog (because I was scared of dogs), and helped me discover a part of my heart that I didn’t know existed. He soon became my heart dog who I can never part with. I fell in love with the husky breed, became aware of the overflowing shelters in the southern US, high euthanasia rate and decided to adopt a husky from there. A year later, we welcomed Bilbo into our family. He was rescued by husky haven of Florida. We adopted him without meeting him in person, but I was determined to never give up on him. Before we adopted him, he was moved around home to home, dumped in a kill shelter. He had severe separation anxiety and was fearful of strangers & city noise. We took him with us everywhere, to work, for vacation. With time and patience, he blossomed into a confident boy! Brings me tears seeing how far he’s come along; he is now an awesome mentor to the rescue huskies we foster.
