Comfort & Joy Story
This is Mya the Husky. We adopted her from an animal shelter when she was about a year old. A few months after we brought her home, my husband, in his late 30’s, fell ill and had to be hospitalized for weeks. He came home weak and still pretty sick. After he came home, Mya would ask to be taken out and lead him on a very short walk each morning. Every few days she would lead him a little farther and a little farther away from the house. After a few months, they were going miles away and he regained his strength. It was her doing. She led the walks and decided when to return. She sensed what he needed and provided comfort, joy and rehab to a guy going through a really tough time. She will always have our hearts.
