Comfort & Joy Story
Maya came to us a sweet, quiet, docile and dainty wooly husky after our previous senior husky Bowser passed away. Getting to observe and know her better has brought us such immense joy and comfort after that heartbreaking loss.

Her quiet and no-drama attitude shocked us at first -- we questioned whether or not she is an actual husky. (Sometimes, we think she is a cat because she has been known to hang out with cats and chase mice and crickets...)

We also learned that she is incredibly intelligent: good at getting what she wants with a single glance from her very expressive big blue eyes. Whether she is waving her paw in the air for more pets or glancing across the room to have food and water brought to her, she reigns the household with her grace, and we would not have it any other way.

This year, she's been through many doctors visits and medical procedures for her epilepsy and other conditions (thanks to Shadow Husky and her incredible fosters Lori and Mark), and come out from them a healthier dog. She has many great years ahead of her, and we are honored to get to witness and be part of her life!
