Comfort & Joy Story
I didn't know. I got my two pups from a backyard breeder. She had two litters literally a day apart for a total of 13 puppies. We originally only wanted one. Then a small runt boy caught my husband's eye, they gazed into each other's eyes and that was it, we were getting two!

Siblings, bonded, can never take one without each other. Again, we didn't know.

Fast forward a few years and I (Kimberly) was in a bad place, all up in my own head, thinking the world would be better without me. It was touch and go some days, barely hanging on. Then one day I noticed Reagan was having mobility issues, and just got progressively worse. Months of tests, medication, different vets; it was during this time I realized I had a purpose! It was to take care of the most beautiful girl who was by my side when I was at my lowest, how could I not do the same for her. She still struggles some days, but don't we all!

Gunner, just as loved, is more Danny's guy. He's not the runt anymore, our big, loveable, sensitive goof ball who offers his booty to anyone for a good scratch also needs us. He's had some health issues as well, but just like Reagan, we will do whatever is necessary to take care of him!

I know now, we know now, backyard breeders are NOT good, but we have at least 2 that will never see the inside of a shelter surrendered because of whatever....
I know now, that's why I take comfort in transporting puppers to hopefully their forever homes, or fosters.

I also know one day I will have a sanctuary for those older pups who need me because we all someone sometimes, especially those who can't speak for themselves!
