Add a short description of your photo or about your pet.Our Rhinestone Cowgirl, Miss Ada is an absolute sweetheart and such a blessing to our entire family!
If not for our retired racing greyhound Marty, our crazy cat family would have never known the joy that comes with loving a dog. When he passed unexpectedly, Shelby Humane’s Weekend Warrior Program helped heal our hearts.
On September 7th, 2022 we brought Miss Ada home for her first visit. At that time, she was almost 1 1/2 years old. Despite her beauty and loving personality, she had been at the shelter since May 20th. Ada was HW+ and had a limp due to a ligament injury. We were concerned she would continue to be overlooked, so we decided to foster this sweetie and begin HW treatment to help her become more adoptable. She never returned to Shelby Humane, because we fell in love…and so did our houseful of cats! She was a perfect fit!
On, November 2, 2022, we made it official and said “Happy Adoption Day, Ada Baby!” There are no words to describe the JOY in honoring Marty’s memory by giving this precious girl the Happily Ever After she deserved! Ada has never met a stranger. She is gentle, playful, and smart. She loves car rides…especially when those car rides take her to Grammy and Grandpop’s house in Huntsville for extra spoiling and loving…and this pawsome new outfit! Yee haw!
