Winning a prize is contingent upon being compliant with these Contest Rules and fulfilling all other requirements set forth herein.
4. Contest Period
The Submission Period starts at 12:00 AM (Central Time) on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, and ends at midnight (11:59:59 PM Central Time) on Thursday, October 30, 2025. The Voting Period is open throughout the Submission Period. The Submission Period and the Voting Period combined constitute the Contest Period. Entries that are submitted before or after the Submission Period will be disqualified and entries may only be made through online submissions using the established entry process.
5. How to Enter
Enter online at http://gogophotocontest.com/ShelbyHumane2025SpooktacularPooches and follow the directions provided to complete the entry information and submit. Submissions are accepted during the Submission Period only. The $20 donation to enter a dog in the contest includes five (5) votes. Donation fees are non-refundable.
The same dog can be entered into the contest multiple times and/or in multiple categories, but votes will not be combined across multiple entries of the same dog. You can enter more than one dog in the contest. A separate donation is due for each entry.
The 4 Categories for the Contest are: (1) Spookiest; (2) Cutest; (3) Best Group/Pack; and (4) Shelby Humane Alum.
First and second winners will be selected for each Category based on the total number of votes at the end of the Contest. From these 8 winners, 1 winner will be selected as Shelby Humane’s Most Spooktacular Pooch Grand Prize. A judge will decide the Grand Prize winner, based on creativity, originality, composition, and overall Contest spirit. The Grand Prize will be received in lieu of the 1st or 2nd Category Prize and the photos with the next highest votes in the Grand Prize winner’s Contest Category will receive the prizes for 1st and 2nd place in that Category.
6. Voting
Each $1 donation counts as 1 vote unless otherwise specified at the time of purchase in accordance with special promotions that may be offered during the Contest. Votes may be cast during the Voting Period only.
All donations for votes are non-refundable. Banked votes may be purchased and allocated across entries. Any pre-purchased votes not cast when the Contest Period closes will be forfeited and are not eligible for refund. Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page. Donations and photo entries for this online contest that are submitted via other means (snail mail, in-person or main website donation page) will be accepted as donations but not applied toward the contest.
