Shiba Prom 2021: Contest Rules
- Entrants must be 18 years old or over.
- Participants may enter and vote as many times as they like.
- Each entry is free.
- Each vote is $1.00.
- All funds generated will be used to provide financial grants to rescued Shiba Inus and Shiba Inu mixes. For more information about our grants program, please visit shibaprom.org/grants.html.
- By submitting a photo, you agree to give Shiba Prom permission to use your photo in Shiba Prom-related promotions, marketing, and activities that further our mission of supporting Shiba Inus and Shiba rescue organizations.
Entry RulesBy submitting an entry in this contest, regardless of country of entry, each entrant represents and warrants that their photo(s) conform to the following official rules.
All photos must be:
- Of your own pets only. Photos can be of Shibas or ‘honorary' Shibas (any pets that wish to be a “Shiba for the Day”).
- Appropriate for the “Treasures of Japan” theme of this event.
- An original work that does not contain, incorporate, or otherwise use any content, material, or element that is owned by a third party or entity.
- In the spirit of rescue. We’re here to help Shibas, not to be negative about other breeds or other contest entries.
All photos must not:
- Show humans or other people’s pets.
- Have previously been submitted in any competition and/or won an award or prize of any kind.
- Include content that is derogatory, offensive, threatening, defamatory, disparaging, libelous.
- Promote hatred or harm against any group or person.
- Contain any content that is inappropriate, indecent, sexual, profane, indecent, tortuous, slanderous, or discriminatory in any way.
- Contain any content that is unlawful or otherwise in violation of any applicable federal, state, provincial, or local laws and regulations in any state where the photos were created.
- Contain any content, material or element that displays any third-party advertising, slogan, logo, trademark or otherwise indicates a sponsorship or endorsement by a third party or commercial entity that is not within the spirit of this contest, as determined by Shiba Prom in its sole discretion. (In other words, stickers and some text are fine. But watermarks and copyrighted material are not.)
- Reference any person, group, or organizations without their written permission.
- Violate a third party's intellectual property rights, including but not limited to copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, logos, contract and licensing rights, rights of publicity or privacy, moral rights, or any other intellectual property rights.
- Be subject to any third-party agreement(s) which may require organizer to pay any sum of money to any person or entity as a result of its use or exploitation of the photos or rights therein.

During the contest period, Shiba Prom will evaluate each entry to ensure that it does not violate these contest rules. Photographs that violate these rules will be disqualified.
