About Us

We are a committed, highly experienced group of herding dog rescuers operating to save herding dogs in the Southeast United Statesand Mid-Atlantic regions. We have taken in many herding dogs into our foster homes and paired them with wonderful adoptive homes. Our dogs come primarily from shelters, though we do occasionally take in owner surrenders based on evaluation and circumstance.

We are foster-based and do not have a main facility, as we believe that all dogs should have a home - even if it's temporary and while they are in search for their forever home. Because we are foster based and volunteers are the soul of our organization, every dollar of donations goes towards our dogs and our programs. Our programs include:

Foster Homes - volunteers fostering at-risk dogs in their homes and helping them find forever homes
Community Outreach - volunteer outreach services serving neighborhoods in the greater Richmond, Virginia, area, providing food, dog houses, and other supplies to dogs and families in need
Professional Trainer resources - offering community support with professional dog trainers for in-home or phone consultations
