Sommer’s Rescue Transport in partnership with Pup Photo Waggin’, is happy to announce its pet calendar for 2026. Proceeds from the sale of the calendar and photo contest will assist Sommer’s Rescue Transport with funds to help small rescues and shelters to cover the cost of preparing their dogs and cats for transport to our Illinois rescue partner where they will have the best opportunity to find their forever families.
We encourage you to submit your favorite photo of your pets and ask your family and friends to vote for them. Please review the Contest Rules carefully for submission guidelines; those that do not follow these rules will not be eligible to win. Fees for photo entries and votes will help Sommer’s Rescue Transport build the funds needed to help prepare the pets for transport.
Grand Prize:
- The winners of the photo contest will be determined by the top 12 entrants that get the most votes.
- The top winner will win the coveted cover photo for the 2026 calendar as well as their month of choice! 2nd - 12th place winners will have their pet featured as a pet of the month.
- The top 12 vote getters will have their pet professionally photographed by Pup Photo Waggin’ for the 2026 calendar.
Reserve a Special Spot In The Calendar For Your Pet:
- Honor your pet or celebrate a gotcha-day or birthday by reserving an empty grid space (before or after the numbered squares) for their photo.
- Choose a favorite photo, a month, and pay.
- Each month has a limited number of squares in each grid and will be filled on a first come, first served basis; don't delay!

Prizes
Grand Prizes:
The winners of the photo contest will be determined by the top 12 entrants that get the most votes. The top winner will win the coveted cover photo for the 2026 calendar as well as the month of their choice! 2nd - 12th place winners will have their pet featured as a pet of the month. Entries featuring two pets will share a month if they place among the top 12 vote getters. The top 12 vote getters will have their pet professionally photographed by Pup Photo Waggin’ for the 2026 calendar.
All winners will have the opportunity to purchase products and images following their session, if desired.
If your pet is one of the 12 to be photographed for the calendar, you must be able to bring your pet to Pup Photo Waggin’ at a pre-selected location in Tulsa, Oklahoma area during June/July 2025 or South Elgin, Illinois area during July 2025 for a professional photo session. If you are unable to commit to a photo session during those times or find yourself unable to travel to these pre-selected locations, you forfeit your winning and the next top vote getter will take your pet's spot in the calendar, no exceptions.
Rules
Entries:
- Each entry is a $5.00 Donation.
- Limit of two (2) pets per photo entry. People are not allowed in photos, only your pet. Photos that do not follow these rules will not be eligible to win with no opportunity for a refund.
- Entry photos that include two pets will share a month if they place among the top 12 vote getters.
- All photos must be uploaded; we cannot accept printed photos. We cannot accept any copyrighted or professional photos.
- The Submissions Period starts at 12:00 AM (Central Time) on Saturday, April 5, 2025 and ends at 9:00 PM (Central Time) on Sunday, May 4, 2025.
- Contest entry fees are tax deductible. The email acknowledgment to your online donation serves as your tax receipt.
- Any photograph that includes content that is deemed inappropriate, indecent, or obscene, as determined by Sommer’s Rescue Transport in its sole discretion, will be removed from the contest with no opportunity for a refund.
- Posting more than one photo of your pet does not increase the chances of winning.
- The winners of the photo contest will be determined by the top 12 entries that receive the most votes. The same pet can only win once. Attempts to win two spots in the calendar by the same pet will not be permitted.
Voting:
- Each $1.00 counts as one (1) vote.
- All donations from voting are non-refundable. Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page. Contest payments online are through a secure site.
- Contest votes are tax deductible. The email acknowledgment to your online donation serves as your tax receipt.
- All winners will be determined by electronic vote tabulations under the supervision of GOGO Photo Contest, whose decisions are final and binding.
- The Voting Period starts at 12:00 AM (Central Time) on Saturday, April 5, 2025and ends at 9:00 PM (Central Time) on Sunday, May 4, 2025.
Calendar Photo Session:
- The top 12 vote getters will win a professional on-location photo session by Pup Photo Waggin’ at a pre-selected location in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area during June – July for a professional on location or Mobile Studio photo session, or the South Elgin, Illinois area for a professional on location photo session in July. If you are unable to commit to a photo session. during those times or find yourself unable to travel to these pre-selected locations, you forfeit your winning and the next top vote getter will take your pet's spot in the calendar, no exceptions.
- The top vote recipient will win the coveted cover photo for the 2026 calendar as well as their choice of month. The following 11 recipients with the most votes will be eligible to have their pet featured as a pet of the month.
- The photographer, Pup Photo Waggin’, will choose the best image of the pets to be used in the calendar as well as which month that image will appear.
Weekly Mini-Contests:
- The pet receiving the highest number of new votes each week that there is a mini-contest will win a mini-contest prize from one of the participating businesses.
- Each pet may only win a mini-contest once.
- In the event of a tie, a random computerized draw will be held between the highest vote getters of the week to determine that week's winner.
- In the event that there are no new votes for that week, a random computerized draw will be held for all eligible pets.
- Certain individual business restrictions and limitations may apply and may vary by business. Sommer’s Rescue Transport is not responsible for these restrictions and eligibility requirements as determined by each business.
The Fine Print:
- By submitting a photo entry, you warrant and represent that your entry is your own original work created by you and that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to your entry materials. If you submit an entry that is copyrighted by another individual, you are responsible for any legal action the copyright holder takes against you.
- Calendars will be available to the general public starting November 15, 2025
- By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Sommer’s Rescue Transport and Pup Photo Waggin’ and each of their respective officers, directors, representatives, volunteers and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any prize.
