Howl-o-ween Photo Contest

Do you have a frightfully fabulous feline or pup with some spooky spirit? Submit a photo of your pet today to help pets in need!

You can enter any of your kitties or pups, so click the link below to submit your favorite photo of your lovable furry friend. Then share on social media so your friends and family can vote to help your pet win the HOWL-O-WEEN Prize Package (valued at $125), which includes:

A free Southern Pines T-shirt
Three months of flea prevention
A toy for your pet
A complimentary photo session for your pet during our December Portraits for Paws event.

There will be one dog winner and one cat winner, and both contest winners will be shared on our social media pages for all of our followers to “ooh” and “ahh” over. So show the world your love for your pet by entering them in our HOWL-O-WEEN Photo Contest, and support our mission to bring people and pets together.

Rules

Photo Contest Submission Requirements:
- It is $5.00USD to submit one (1) photo of your cat or dog
- Photos may NOT contain more than one cat or dog
- Pets do not have to have been adopted from Southern Pines or be current Healthy Pet Clinic clients
- Important: ONLY Digital photos submitted through the Southern Pines GoGo Photo contest page are eligible for this photo contest
- If winners are unable or unwilling to let Southern Pines use their pet’s photos/appointment photos for marketing and promotional purposes, the winner will forfeit their prize, and the clinic will select the next runner up to receive the prize package.
- Poor quality photos, photos with extensive filters or Photoshopping, photos with added text, and/or questionable content will not be eligible for the contest
- By submitting your photo, you are agreeing that all entries and photographs become the property of Southern Pines Animal Shelter to be used at their discretion for any and all purposes without compensation. By submitting a photo entry, you warrant and represent that your entry is your own original work created by you and that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to your entry materials. If you submit an entry that is copyrighted by another individual, you are responsible for any legal action the copyright holder takes against you. By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Southern Pines Animal Shelter and the contest Sponsors and each of their respective officers, directors, representatives, volunteers and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any prize.

To enter the contest you will submit a photo of your cat or dog, provide their name, your name and contact info, and a short paragraph (250 words or less) that tells voters something fun or interesting about your pet.
The HOWL-O-WEEN Photo Contest is open for photo submissions from 12:00 AM (Central Time) on Friday, October 17, 2025 - midnight (11:59:59 PM Central Time) on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
The voting period is open from 12:00 AM (Central Time) on Friday, October 17, 2025 - midnight (11:59:59 PM Central Time) on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
Voting is open to everyone. Votes are $1 each. Each dollar donated equals an equivalent number of votes that are placed in the donor’s “vote bank.” A $5.00 donation equals 5 votes, a $10 donation equals 10 votes, etc. A minimum donation of $5 is required. You then take the votes in your vote bank and use them to vote on one photo entry, or spread them across your favorite photos.
If you submit a photo to the contest, you can email links to your family and friends to encourage voting for your photo. On your pet's public page, there is a "share" button that allows you to share your entry through Facebook and other social networking sites. Ask all of your friends and family to vote for your favorite photo and share! Share! Share!
Southern Pines reserves the right to disqualify at any time any photo it determines to be unsuitable.
Contest votes are not tax deductible. The email acknowledgment to your online donation serves as your tax receipt.
Contest donations are processed by a secure (SSL, PCI-Compliant) payment processor. You can donate using all major credit cards and Visa and MasterCard debit cards.
Registration information shared by participants when creating an account to submit a photo entry will be kept strictly confidential by Southern Pines Animal Shelter
The selection process will be determined by electronic tabulations under the supervision of GoGo Photo Contest, whose decisions are final and binding.
Winners will be determined by online voting. Prizes must be picked up at our Midtown Clinic (203 S. 30th Avenue Hattiesburg, MS 39402) location within 14 days of the contest ending.
The prizes cannot be exchanged for monetary value or any other item.
The Contest is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
