Nix was rescued from a kill shelter in TX in January 2025; nearly emaciated, filthy and unfairly targeted by the new shelter Director as a dangerous dog that should be killed. SWESR partnered with other animal advocates to free Nix from a system that is broken. He hopes to find a family that will understand his backstory, adopt him and love and keep him safe for the rest of his life.
