Rules

It is free to enter a photo anytime during the contest dates of 7:00:00 AM (Central Time) on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 to 9:00:00 PM (Central Time) on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.
You may enter as many times as you like. You may vote as many times as you like. We encourage you to share news of and promote the contest on your own social media.
Photo entries must be of an English Setter or an English Setter mix. We welcome photos of any English Setter, rescued or not, puppy or geriatric, indoors or out, active or sedentary. We love to celebrate ALL English Setters!
Photos must be horizontal (wider than they are tall).
Color photographs only, of good quality and high resolution should be submitted. They need to be printed at 8.5” x 11” without significant loss of quality. If your submission is low resolution or poor quality, you will be asked for a better quality image if your photo is one of the top 13.
Digital photos only may be submitted. Please, no added graphics, illustrations, or people in the photos!

OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION

The top 13 photos from prior contests will not be used for the calendar again. If your photo is one of the top 13 and was used in a previous year, you will be asked to provide a new photo for this year’s calendar.
Contest votes are tax deductible. The email acknowledgment to your online donation serves as your tax receipt. Mailed paper receipts can be requested by emailing info@swesr.org.
Contest donations are processed by a secure (SSL, PCI-Compliant) payment processor. You can donate using all major credit cards and Visa and MasterCard debit cards.
We plan for the 2026 SWESR calendar to be available for distribution to winners by December 1, 2025. Calendar pre-sales begin in October 2025. Information about purchasing calendars will be available on SWESR's website and Facebook page.
All entries and photographs may be used by Southwest English Setter Rescue (SWESR) at their discretion for any and all purposes. If you submit an entry that is copyrighted by another individual or company, you are responsible for obtaining permission from the owner.
By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless SWESR and the contest Sponsors and each of their respective officers, directors, representatives, volunteers and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any prize.
