Tell us something fun about your dog
We adopted Nellie from our local shelter where she was described as a “Dalmatian mix.” As soon as we saw her we knew what she really was. At the time we didn’t know much about the breed but we learned quickly. Her endless energy got us into shape- we spent countless hours chasing butterflies, bugs, and of course squirrels and birds. We hiked till we thought our legs would fall off and swam many miles. She was unable to eat a meal until she found her cat, Smudge, and then she would put his whole head in her mouth and kiss him before taking a bite of food. You couldn’t take a walk downtown without her dragging you to the doggie bakery for her treat. There was not a day in the 12 years we had her that she did not make us laugh out loud with her crazy antics and goofy expressions.
