"Ditto" was adopted in 2007 at age 5 after being downsized from his previous Colorado family. He is deaf and had been neglected. It took lots of love and patience to retrain him to trust people again. Now after 7 years he is very attached to our family and his fellow Setter, Sage. The name comes from being the second dog who must follow Sage's rules and demands. For a dog that once was fearful, distant and unaccustomed to children, Ditto loves and trusts both adults and children. His rabbit soft coat, along with his distinctive facial markings, makes him a popular companion. Even though he is deaf, he makes his opinions known by "talking." Recently he helped me rehabilitate from a total knee replacement by staying by my side constantly. He is a true rescue story in the best sense.
