Tell us something fun about your dog
Happy was a foster that came all the way from New Mexico to PA. It took him several weeks on many transports for him to get to me. On his last transport he was with three other senior dogs each with a disability. One was deaf, another blind, another old and arthritic and Happy was missing an eye and had a broken leg that had been left to heal on its own. He was an old man when he came to me with a painful limp but he was close to perfect and such a gentle soul in spite of his terrible condition. I knew the minute that I saw him that he was never going to make the adoption page and that he was already home.
One day when we were all outside, I heard him barking and he finally found me in the front yard. He came to me with the most pitiful look on his face as he had tried to go through the cat door and had ripped it out of the door and ended up wearing it. I took it off him of course, but not until I took a few pictures and had a big laugh at his expense. Happy shared almost two years with us and we all adored this amazing boy.
