Pet's Story or Bio
I adopted Preston from SPCA Monterey County in November 2012 when he was just about two years old. As a volunteer, I had seen a lot of dogs (and other animals) come and go, and when I saw Preston in his kennel, and he looked at me with those soulful eyes, I knew he was coming home with me.

Our first few months together weren't the easiest. I wanted a dog to make me more active, but I feared that he should have to been adopted by someone with land where he could run. But lucky for me, Preston and I settled into a routine, and it's been an incredible 13 years with his good boy.

As a reactive dog, Preston needed someone who could help him navigate this big world. I was truly blessed to work with the trainers at the SPCA, going through the various classes to give me the skills I needed to make Preston's life comfortable, and geesh, has he been a pampered pup!

This good boy has truly been the best champion, and I am internally grateful to those at the SPCA who cared for him until I came along.
