Buddy is a rescue. He is the love of our lives -- a loyal, curious little guy with a lot of spunk...

He was found running the streets of Greenfield, then ended up at the Salinas-Monterey Animal Shelter. When we spotted him there, he was the only dog not barking. Instead, he sat as close to the cage bars as possible, quietly looking up at us. When we reached through to pet him, he froze and let us pet and pet, as if not moving a muscle would ensure our unbridled love and his certain adoption.

He was right :) Then again, he's very smart.

Buddy adores walks, car rides, treats and sleeping on the couch. And, of course, the twin teenage girls in his life.

He rushes to the window, tail thumping against it, his legs dancing almost uncontrollably as his owner pulls up in the car, arriving home from work. Or even with the family having just completed a short run to the grocery store.

Buddy was our first dog as a family. There are no words to describe the importance of that in our lives.
