A little about me...
Okane was rescued by Save Rocky after being found on the street. While I don’t know much about his past, we do know that he came to me with a deep fear of men and strangers. On walks, he can be a little nervous if someone comes up behind him, but with patience and guidance he has learned to sit politely and watch the person pass by instead of reacting in fear.

At the vet, he is slowly building confidence and beginning to understand that he is safe. Okane absolutely loves playtime at daycare, where he can run, play, and just enjoy being a dog. His playful side really shines when he’s with other dogs, in an environment where he feels comfortable and secure.

Throughout the day, Okane’s favorite thing is simply being by my side. He follows me from room to room, never wanting to miss a moment together. If I let him, he would even squeeze himself into the tiny shower room, just so he could stay close. When we spend time in the backyard, he enjoys stretching out in the sun, soaking up the warmth, and keeping a careful eye on the squirrels as they dash along the fence line.

Okane is more than just a pet—he has truly become my shadow and my companion. He was my very first Great Dane, and because of him, I discovered just how special and unique this breed really is.
