SLC Veterinary Assistant Fundraiser

The St. Lawrence College Veterinary Assistant program is thrilled to continue hosting its annual fundraiser. This year we are raising money for Howling Hideaway Rescue!

Howling Hideaway Rescue is a safe place for animals in need located in Westport, Ontario. They are a non-profit organization that gives animals a second chance, and helps them find their forever home!

Your contribution will help animals like Opie, the intelligent one year old Shepard mix who is eager to please, and Tiggy Wiggy, a beautiful brown tabby who are both still on the search for their perfect homes!

Please donate today and help this amazing organization continue their life saving work!

All the fundraising and advertising efforts will be fulfilled by the students of the 2026 class.

Entering our photo contest is free! Please check out our rules for submitting a photo, so that we can all see your beautiful pets and cast our votes for our favourites. Each vote costs $1 and is non-refundable.

Prizes

- 4 Ottawa Senators box seat tickets (200 level) with a parking pass for the Sunday, April 5th game versus the Carolina Hurricanes.

- Cat basket from PetValu Kingston.

- Dog basket from PetValu Kingston.

The top three winners get the option to choose one of three prizes. First place gets first choice and so on.

*Unable to ship prizes. Prize basket winners will determine choice prior to pickup, which will be held at our fundraising event April 11 10:00am-3:00pm

at St. Lawrence College (Kingston campus).*

Rules

The top 3 photos with the most votes will receive a wonderful prize donation. The winners get to choose a prize starting with first place.
One submission per person.
Photos of cats, dogs, horses, birds, reptiles, and small mammals are accepted.
More than one pet is allowed in a photo.
Submission and voting period begins on March 1st at 8:00 AM and closes on April 1st at 11:59 PM.
Votes cost $1 each.
Votes and donations are non-refundable.
Photos deemed offensive or inappropriate will be removed.
Able to pick-up prize April 8 at SLC.
