Why I am a Ravishing Rescue?
I’m a stray who hangs out quite a lot in the backyard of a certain human family - it was actually my territory before they moved in. Another savvy human in the neighborhood had trapped and neutered me some years before (see my clipped ear). For a long time I was very shy and skittish, but they bribed me relentlessly with food and baby talk. Now I let them pet me and even come when they call my name. They’ve tried to trap me a few times but I haven’t fallen for that trick again, cuz I think they want to take me to the vet. But… if I let them do it, maybe they’ll finally allow me inside (I admit I’ve cried more than a few times by the back door when it’s cold or raining). I’ll have to think about it.
