About My Dog
River was rescued after Hurricane Ian and brought to South Florida for her chance at a forever home. As a herding breed, she’s always the first to notice what’s happening in the household and isn’t shy about using her bark to keep everyone in line. This independent girl loves being the center of attention and has become a bit of a teacher, showing her furry siblings the ropes, like how to open doors!
River is incredibly smart, fast, and deeply devoted to her people. She captured our hearts the moment we saw her in the shelter. We had no idea what we were getting into, but we’re so glad we took the leap <3
